Movement Director and Choreographer
Kate is a movement director, choreographer and facilitator, working across multiple disciplines. Specialising in live performance, Kate has created work in theatre, community performance, performance art, street theatre and dance theatre.
She trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before completing a postgrad in Dance Theatre at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Passionate about working with actors and performers, whether on a piece of dance or movement based theatre, or simply exploring the physical world of the play or film, she works hard to create a collaborative and open rehearsal process.
She enjoys working with people all levels and capabilities and endeavours to create a movement language that supports both the production and the needs of each individual performer. She has a strong understanding of an actor's process and how movement can best work alongside that.
She is also a visiting lecturer at RWCMD and a facilitator at Shakespeare's Globe, specialising in Elizabethan jigs and dance within Shakespeare's plays.
